숨 아트 포럼 2023

숨 프로젝트는 스위스 출신 유명 건축가 마리오 보타의 강연을 2023년 아트 포럼으로 함께했습니다. ‘영혼의 건축가’로 불리는 마리오 보타는 최근 남양성모성지 설계를 맡아 대성당 건축을 지휘한 바 있습니다. 이 강연은 12월 13일 아산정책연구원에서 이루어졌습니다.

이번 강연에서 마리오 보타는 자신의 건축 철학을 소개하며 남양성모성지를 비롯한 다양한 프로젝트를 소개했습니다.

“건축은 어떤 형식으로든 자연과 함께할 수밖에 없다. 반면 또 어떤 형태로는 자연과 반대 지점에 있을 수밖에 없다. 건축은 자연을 ‘문화적으로’ 바꾸는 작업이다.”

SUUM Project organized a lecture featuring the world-renowned architect Mario Botta during his visit to The Shrine Of Our Lady of Rosary of Namyang.

The lecture highlighted Botta’s architectural philosophy, coinciding with his visit to Korea for the opening of the Namyang Shrine of the Virgin Mary, one of his spiritually resonant architectural works. He also introduced a range of his other projects, sharing insights into the soul embedded in his architectural practice.

“Architecture inevitably coexists with nature in various forms. However, there are moments when it appears to stand diametrically opposed to nature in its expression. Architecture represent the cultural effort to transform nature.”
