'Journey to Infinity' Artist Collaboration

숨 프로젝트는 2022년 한국에서 처음 개최된 ‘프리즈 서울’ 기간에 발맞추어 MCM 하우스에서 패션과 예술이 어우러진 특별전 〈저니 투 인피니티(JOURNEY TO INFINITY〉를 개최했다. 대표적인 한국 동시대 미술가 ‘최정화’와 함께 과거부터 우리 생활을 이루어온 사소하고 단편적인 것들을 엮어 시작과 끝을 알 수 없는 무한한 여정을 작품화했다. MCM 브랜드의 럭셔리에 한국식 아름다움을 더하고, 예스러움과 현대의 공존을 염원하는 작업이다.

In conjunction with the launch of Frieze Seoul in 2022, SUUM Project hosted a special exhibition titled Journey to Infinity at MCM HAUS, blending fashion and art into a unique experience. In collaboration with prominent Korean contemporary artist Choi Jeong Hwa, the exhibition brought together seemingly trivial and fragmented elements from daily life, weaving them into an endless journey with no clear beginning or end. The exhibition beautifully merged MCM’s sense of luxury with traditional Korean aesthetics, harmonizing the old and the new.
