“Blue Crystal Ball” is a contemporary art collection which consists of single channel videos created in order to pass on the Olympic legacy to future generations. Selected world-renown artists will create new artworks that reflect the values of the Olympics.

This collection invites innovative international artists to explore and reflect on the Olympic ideals and create new artworks. Like fortune tellers gazing into a crystal ball they show us aspects of sport and life we have not seen before. This media art project seeks to enrich the Olympic experience through commissioned artworks that intelligently explore the universal aspects of the Olympic values.

The ceremony is the special ceremony which only limited number of people can participate in. About 80 people are supposed to be invited for the event. Global Media, experts of art and culture, IOC (International Olympics Committee), LOCOG (London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games), and Future OCOG (The Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games) will attend the ceremony.

Each artwork explores and reflects on the Olympic ideals and creates new narratives and visual epiphanies. Using contemporary technologies, they create stories around the ancient roots of the Olympic games which can be bequeathed to future generations. The artworks will move the audience, “Beyond boundaries beyond a new threshold of friendship.”
