〈Anish Kapoor〉전은 중국에서 열린 현대미술 거장 아니쉬 카푸어의 첫 대규모 개인전이다. 당시 중앙미술학원(CAFA) 미술관의 초청 큐레이터로 활동하던 이지윤 숨 프로젝트 대표의 큐레이팅으로 베이징 CAFA 미술관과 자금성 박물관에서 열렸다.

아니쉬 카푸어는 재료의 물성과 비정형적 형태를 통해 정신적 본질의 영역을 탐구하는 작업을 해왔다. 이 전시에서 아니쉬 카푸어는 중국의 문화유산과 공명하며 새로운 해석을 낳는 작품 세계로 많은 중국 관객의 호응을 받았다.

“Anish Kapoor” is the first large-scale solo exhibition by contemporary art master Anish Kapoor in China. Curated by Jiyoon Lee, then a visiting curator at the Central Academy of Fine Arts Museum, it was held at the CAFA Museum and Imperial Ancestral Temple in Beijing.

Anish Kapoor has been exploring the realm of spiritual essence through the material properties and amorphous forms of materials. This exhibition, where Anish Kapoor encounters Chinese cultural heritage and presents a new interpretation of his work, garnered enthusiastic response.
