SUUM Project is delighted to announce LUX, a major new exhibition of contemporary media art, taking place at 180 The Strand, London. Featuring 13 large-scale installations, LUX brings together 12 of the world’s most celebrated media artists and collectives, creatives working with the latest audio-visual technologies to expand the boundaries of interactive, immersive art, blurring the lines between the physical and virtual worlds.

The exhibition will present newly commissioned site-specific installation artwork Blue White Sky by Es Devlin; a major new media sculpture installation Flower Meadow by Swiss architect collective iart studio; Black Corporeal (Breathe), a critical examination on the relationship between materiality and the black psyche, by Julian Knxx; and new work Morando, depicting glowing peonies that remind us of the cycle of life from birth to death, by celebrated Korean collective a’strict.

The exhibition will also feature the UK premiere of the work Renaissance Generative Dreams by Refik Anadol. LUX exhibition brings about the artistic presentation of all sorts of different characteristics and the nature of hope that light entails. LUX, as in light in Latin, brings unity in all spectrums of colors, embracing diversity, and provides a unique experience that can only be experienced through media arts with the new possibilities of the OLED display that can bring about.

LUX was intended to shed a light on the world in this darkest time of period ever in history that we are all facing. LUX expects visitors to fully engage in the vast space of 180 Studios and stimulate every part of the unknown perception throughout the exhibition.
