파티(PaTI)와 친구들

Artclub1563 hosted 〈PaTI and Friends〉, a fundraising exhibition organized to support the operation of the Paju Typography Institute (PaTI), founded by Ahn Sang-soo, one of Korea’s leading visual designers and typographers. This charity event was co-planned by SUUM Project and PaTI to support the cultivation of future designers and to advocate for innovative approaches in Korean design education.

The exhibition featured twelve contemporary artists who are actively engaged in both the Korean and international art scenes. Among them were Kim Yong-chul, whose free-spirited and vibrant Hearts and Peonies works convey messages of positivity; Shin Sang-ho, a ceramic artist capturing the primal energy of nature; Moon Bong-sun, an oriental painter who delicately renders the essence of nature; Yoo Geun-taek, known for his ink paintings that depict modern life; Lee Yong-baek, a media installation artist who represented Korea at the Venice Biennale; Lee Sea-hyun, renowned for his Red Landscape series; Kim Joon, whose works explore body and tattoo motifs; Noh Suntag, a documentary photographer addressing Korean socio-political realities; Lee Jae-yong, known for his concentrated narrative photography; Noh Suk-mi, who portrays fragments of everyday life with a playful sensibility; Sunmu, a defector artist recognized for his critical take on the divided Korean peninsula; and Baik Hyun-jin, who creates poetic, organically expressive paintings. The exhibition also presented Laughter Blossom Hangul, a joyful interpretation of the Korean script by PaTI’s founder Ahn Sang-soo himself.
